Opened in August 2004 The Fig Tree Restaurant and Wine Bar offers visitors a unique and unforgettable dining experience.
Nestling in the stunningly beautiful Towy Valley, with views of Dryslwyn Castle and Paxton's Tower, the restaurant is situated in the courtyard of the old Model farm of the Cawdor estate. With its creeper covered walls and arches, the restaurant offers dining on three levels together with an upstairs bar and The Coach House, a completely separate Function room. The Fig Tree is now established as the first choice in West Wales for that special occasion with superb food complemented by an excellent wine list and relaxed yet professional service in an unmatched setting.

As well as The Fig Tree restaurant, Dryslwyn Fawr farm also plays host to three five star and one four star holiday cottages. These can be available for bed and breakfast

Weddings and meetings at The Fig Tree
With space for up to 130 for a formal meal and almost unlimited numbers in the evening, The Fig Tree is the perfect venue for weddings. If you are having a civil ceremony, it will be held in The Coach House, our function and meeting room on the south side of the Courtyard. The reception, with champagne and canapes, is held in the Courtyard, with the backdrop of Dryslwyn Castle and Paxton’s Tower making it perfect for photographs. After the wedding breakfast in our beautiful restaurant, with fabulous food and wine, return to The Coach House in the evening for the noisy bit with the Courtyard a beautiful setting for relaxation.
Hog roasts on warm summer evenings are a particularly popular way to complete that perfect day.
We still have a limited number of 2008 summer weekends with 2009 now booking. Free dates this summer: 17May, 14, 21 June, 30 Aug.
For meetings, The Coach House can hold 100 in comfort for theatre style events and offers great flexibility with the restaurant to cater for almost all events.
